NOTE!!!! This offshore switch is assembled with plated steel rivet contacts as opposed to brass rivet contacts like original. Whereas the Torino or Mustang do fine with 2 incandescent rear bulbs the Cougars with 6 bulbs put too much load on the switch and they fail. The only way these switches will hold up in a Cougar is if you convert to LED. Our turn signal switches are made on the FoMoCo original tooling. If you have replaced your sequential unit in the trunk with one of our new solid state sequential units and are still having problems then the turn signal switch is most likely the culprit as the only other part to the system is the wiring harness itself. For any year 1967 1968 1969 1970 Mercury Cougar with an FE 390, 427, or 428CJ engine. Identified by the round dimple stamped into it. Compare the OEM used part price to the reproduction part. For restoration purposes, this bracket was factory painted satin black.
