This rectangular trim part is located on the right side of the glove box on all 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougars without factory installed AC. This could be referred to as a passenger side AC vent block off plate. Our used pieces taken from parts cars usually need to be painted but sometimes will pass as-is for a driver quality car. This restored trim piece mounts to the back of the vent frame of any 1967-68 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Driver side only, made of galvanized steel. The High tone is indicated in raised letters located on the perimeter of the horn. The 1971-73 almost uses the same horn and bracket as the 1967-68, but was mounted at a different angle, so if you have a 1971-73 you will need to loosen the screw that holds the horn to the bracket and rotate the horn to the correct position.
