Many of our customers have asked and requested how we clean and detail our parts. We use a combination of items, mostly fine steel wool and elbow grease. Cleans haze, crud, and years of oxidation and water spots from glass, aluminum, chrome, and rubber. 

This single port version was used in the latter part of 1967 and all of 1968. Keep in mind we have units that are not as clean looking but still hold vacuum for about half the price. Cougar part number C7WY-13A185-C headlamp vacuum reservoir.

Quality "STANDARD" brand reproduction switch for your vacuum actuated hideaway headlights. This switch fits multiple years and makes which means multiple dash configurations. You will need to "break off" your unique extension and attach it to this unit. This bracket attaches the vacuum storage tank for your headlights to the core support inside the driver fender. It differs from the 1967 bracket in that an oval hole was put in it to allow the socket and pigtail assembly for the side marker light to pass through the bracket located closest to the fender. 1969 uses the exact same bracket except for a slightly different clip design. This clip looks just like the larger quarter extension moulding / trim moulding clip, but is smaller (as our comparison picture shows). One clip per side is used to attach the tail end (smaller end) of the moulding / trim to the extension. This unit is also almost exactly the same as the rear deck / trunk lid moulding / trim clip, but this quarter extension clip has a slightly shorter stud. Rarely will the clip you get look as good as the pictured here, usually the "finger" will be missing....
