This used to be a decent off-shore quality pair of anodized aluminum mouldings. Our guess is that the tooling is starting to show wear and needs replacing as evidenced by the wrinkles in the corners. We have alerted the manufacturer but they can be slow to act. There are no returns on this blemished, less than perfect part. This is a core five piece set of front windshield mouldings for a 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougar. These mouldings need restoration as they are dull, scratched and dinged. This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. In 1967 - 1968 there were eight per wheel lip moulding, two per fender extension moulding, two per center grille moulding and five per hood lip moulding for a total of 50 screws. In 1969-1973 they were used on the wheel lips mouldings. The 1971 - 1973 hood lip mouldings used the same screw but it was 5/8" tall.
