    Description

Complete set of re-chromed grille bars ready to paint and install. Show quality, restored from grille parts with minimal or no pits, bends or cracks.

Like all of our rechromed parts, if you have exceptionally clean cores and have high standards you will want to send your cores in advance. When you do we will do what we call "core matching". If you send in parts with ZERO pits you will get back restored parts that had no pits prior to replating.

If you pay the core charge and we send your parts out in advance of receiving your cores, we just select a set randomly off the shelf, as we assume you have average quality or no cores to return.

If you have exceptionally clean cores but you must have the restored parts prior to sending your cores, you should at least send us several detailed pictures of your cores prior to us sending out the restored parts.

    Pros:
    • Already done
    • no wait.
    Cons:
    • Poor quality
    • Over priced for the work performed
If you have a good core, have a local person do the work. You can get better quality for a lower price and no shipping.

I started opening, beginning with the small fins, and was disappointed with the insides of the fins. I let it go hoping the larger pieces would look better. As I continued to unwrap each piece, my disappointment only grew. I absolutely would not buy these if I were starting over. You have no idea what your luck will be. The insides of the fins were not polished and the pitting is so bad I will have to fill with a high-build primer/paint to clean these up. Don’t do it.

    Cons:
I was hesitant too purchase these with the hefty price tag of over 600$. I had two bumpers rechromed for about the same cost. The description stated these were excellent quality rechromed units, and I am building a show quality 67 standard cougar so I pulled the trigger. Upon inspection the set I received was well chromed on the face of the bars but looking at the sides (Where originally painted) the chrome was wavy and inferior quality. Needless to say I was a little dissapointed for the cost paid. If I wasn't in a time frame to rebuild my headlight assemblies for the body shop I would of most likely complained and exchanged them.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
