Stainless trim that affixes to the leading edge of the quarter window on coupe or convertible.

Used passenger side (right hand) grade B vertical glass trim for the window glass of the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang both coupe and convertible. This stainless steel trim will have light scuffing or scratches, primarily on the outside surface. Plan on purchasing new rubber weather stripping. Original sway bar mount for your 1971-73 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Nice original, removed from our better cars. Metal cleanup needed, we cut these a little generously to protect the bracket. Original part number is 5A483. The MPC and other manuals refer to this bracket as: reinforcement and mounting bracket for front stabilizer bar. One per side, right and left are the same. According to the MPC 1970 primarily, a few 1971-1973's. If you have a hardtop or coupe, (VIN numbers starting with either 0F91 or 0F93) and standard wheels with hub caps. Or, any 1971 - 1973 with style steel wheels. Total length is 6-1/4 inches, with 4 inches being threaded. Threads 1/2-13. We find this bolt to only have 2 1/2" of threads. 1971 - 1973 Mercury Cougar hard tops and coupes with regular steel wheels and hub caps. J bolt total length listed in MPC is 8-3/4 inches, with 6-1/2 inches threaded on the straight end but we find the actual length to be 10" long with about 4" of threads. We also see this used with the 1971 - 1973 Kelsey Hayes Styled Steel wheel even though the MPC lists another size. There are absolutley to absolutes when it comes to items like these and what Ford "may" have called for. Would love to hear...
