The 67 harness has several differences from the 68 which keeps it from being able to interchange with any other year or model. New Old Stock headlight solenoid valve for the vacuum headlight system on the Mercury Cougar and Ford Thunderbird. This functional unit is tested and ready to install.  This is the early solenoid valve without ground wire. Early 1967 Cougars and Thunderbirds did not have that separate ground wire. These reproduction valances have been modified and fitted with high quality reproduction XR7G fog light buckets. When you compare an original valance to these you will see much more care was given than in the originals when placing the buckets. Finned aluminum Ford cast valve covers for any 1970-71 Ford or Mercury with 429CJ engine. Almost correct on 1971 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with N or C code 429CJ engines. D0OE-6583-A is the part number cast on both. These both have the same opening for the oil filler cap on both sides. Technically, for 1971, the passenger side cover would have a round hole for the PCV grommet and have a D1OE-6583-CA casting number.

Ford offered the 1973 Mercury Cougar hood emblem in two versions as a service replacement part. It is very rare to find them new in the box with the chrome center hood moulding, usually they are found without the chrome. This was found at the Spring 2007 Ford Carlisle show.
