We suggest using white lithium grease or petroleum jelly to ensure the seal will not stick to the shift lever. Fits 1969-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang, additionally it also fits 1971+ Maverick and Comet with floor shift automatic only.  If you have any side-to-side play in the shifter, this seal will not last. Very nice reproduction knobs for 1971-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with outboard mounted seat back releases. Also fits 1971 and newer Mercury Comet and Ford Maverick with bucket seats, as well as 1971 and newer Pinto. *Note - Not to be confused with the center mounted release knobs.

Passenger side seat back release assembly, can me used for a conversion of 1970 high-backed seat backs for use in 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator and Ford Mustang Mach 1.
