WCCC is excited to bring this new XR7G console conversion assembly to the market. These are handcrafted one at a time just like many of the components originally installed at AO Smith on the XR7G and Shelby. This console is complete minus the plastic base. This upgrade works well for owners of 1967 or 1968 xr7 or Standard models where many affixed items (pads, radio bezel, shift indicator) are ruined. To make this upper console portion work on your model you must strip all the OEM parts off your base and permanently cut the base in several places. Another benefit of this conversion is that many of you have damaged bases and this unit will often cover that damage, especially in and around the radio area. If you do not want to cut your HIGHLY VALUABLE original base, we often have discounted bases in grade B or C condition that would work well with this item.
We offer this console in several configurations: with or without cup holders, with or without a cutout for the XR7 clock and with or without a logo embroidered into the lid (embroidery is a $60 upcharge). These consoles are made to order and generally take up to 30 days to complete to your specifications. To defray the cost we are willing to consider taking your removed grade A console parts in trade. Only black leather is available, but if you can supply the leather in your preferred color, we will credit you $150.
