This handle is a good replacement for the window cranks found on the 1971 - 1972 Cougar both front and back. The originals were 4 1/4" total length and this replacement handle is 4 7/8" long. The important detail on these is the fact that the female portion that attaches to the splined window regulator protrudes from the back 5/16". For 1968 Ford standardized or changed all of the J-bolt threads to the beefier 1/2"-13. We have noted two variations of this wing nut. The most obvious identifier between the two is the tabs in the center. The majority have these tabs present, the minority do not. We also stock and carry the correct disc or hold down plate, and the J bolt. Lots of sizes and lengths for those. Do you have the correct one?
