1969 Mercury Cougar

This version of the emblem was actually used on early 70's full-size Mercurys, and is almost identical to the 1969-70 version used on Cougars. These fuel door Mercury crest emblems are a close to original reproduction. They are an economical alternative to brighten up the looks of the rear of your 1969 - 1970 Cougar. This crest was used on all models except the 1970 Eliminator. To remove your emblem we suggest grinding down the studs on the backside. To install the reproduction emblem you will need the 26120 trim clip.

Very difficult to find, delicate aluminum quarter panel emblem in the original Ford box. Ford part number is C9WB-6525622-A, casting number on back reads C9WB-65291B62-AYou can reference the above pictures for correct dimensions, as taken from one of our cars using an original script emblem. Good used center with no crack, missing paint or broken mounting tabs. This was used on all 1969 Cougars with a three spoke wheel except the XR7.

This little emblem was used only on the two spoke steering wheels from 1969 - 1973. We can pretty much guarantee one if not both of the two mounting studs will be broken but because of the way it fits into the recess of the steering wheel pad, gluing it into place is not a problem. We rarely have an emblem this nice in stock for more than a few weeks of any one year as the tail was prone to breaking off as well as the "cats" other limbs. Used emergency / parking brake assembly for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang and is as removed from a West Coast Cougar organ donor. 1969 had a weak design and the release levers were prone to bend and break off. 1969 used a T shaped chrome release handle and 1970 used a black plastic T shaped release knob, which generally aren't interchangeble. With 1969 dates. *TRIVIA* 1969 390 S code Cougars were not technically the 390GT variety. An Autolite 4300 carburetor and a non-GT intake manifold changed the designation to 390IP for "Improved Performance."

Original NOS shroud with correct chocolate brown color and texture as what came on your Cougar the day it was made. The later shrouds sold by Ford were smooth, black and the "Barnum Fibre Co. Great addition to that show quality FE powered early Cougar. Unlike the reproduction this has the original part number, BARNUM BROS. FIBRE CO. INC. lettering and FoMoCo insignia at the top driver side. This was one of the last units out the door when FORD discontinued them in the 1990's. New replacement J-nut or they are sometimes called U-nuts. These clip into those square holes in the fender aprons for fastening the fenders on 1967-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. These clips are 5/8 inches from the hole center to folded edge. We also see the same clips with 27/32 inch spacing for fender mounting. Numerous other uses, we find this clip on the hidden headlight buckets on 1967-68 Cougar and XR7's.

1967 - 1973 Cougar Logo Rubber Floor Mats - Used Dark chocolate brown, correct for Cougars equipped with Saddle, Ginger, or Tobacco interior. Notice this set is the version that is a couple of inches narrower so it will fit well with the addition of convertible inner rockers.

These correct floor pan patches are for the 1969-70 convertible and do not have drain plugs like the 1967-68 panels. These are made from a really rigid steel and do not easily bend or dent easily like many of the offshore pans you find on the market. These 20 gauge panels are 24" long and 15 1/4" wide. Great for the person doing a "correct" restoration on their 1969-70 Cougar / Mustang / Shelby.

Used OEM Ford 428 Cobra Jet manual transmission flywheel. Stamped C8OE-A. Needs a ring gear, has chipped teeth. No visible issues, no discoloration from heat.
