Very hard to find 69 - 70 Shelby / 67 - 69 Cougar 4 speed shifter knob. Almost a year in development was spent to get as close as possible to original N.O.S. sample. These very rarely come up for sale used and when they do, they are expensive. Knob insert is made of metal just like original not brass. Knob also has the correct groove in middle of body like 69 version and not the earlier version which does not. Not technically correct for a 67-8 Cougar, as the 67-8 does not have the groove in...

Used faux wood grain 4 speed shift knob for 1967 and 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7 models. This knob is so much better than the reproduction knob that we sell. This knob has a threaded metal insert that is 1/2" - 20 NF. Some aftermarket shift levers may not have this particular thread size. This adhesive plaque was placed in front of the shifter on XR7-G models with a factory installed four speed manual transmission. The XR7-G shift knob had a walking Cat on the face of the knob instead of a shift pattern.
