Attractive reproduction of a very popular, over the counter Mercury dress-up accessory. The only Cougars that came from the factory with this real wood shifter were the 1970 Eliminator and 1968 XR7G. This rod is unique to 1970 because it was the first year of the lock out rod. Very hard to come by when you consider there was no 390 option for 1970. Notice this rod features two different part numbers. Adjustable rod that connects the floor shifter to the big block C-6 automatic transmissions. C6 transmissions only, code "U" on your door data plate tag. 428 Cobra Jet engines were the only Cougar engines to receive the C-6 automatic transmission. Used automatic shifter bezel / indicator assembly for all Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with or without consoles. These are the best used ones from our inventory. These will have some minor issues with the chrome plating and most often need some detailing on the black pebble grain. This reproduction cigar / cigarette lighter socket is a good fit and is easy to install. This lighter socket also comes with the retainer. Replaces Ford part # C6ZZ-15055-B.

This restored three spoke, rim blow steering wheel was used on all Cougars 1970-73 except the Cougars equipped with standard interior or on rare occasion the 1973 Cougars that came with the rare 2 spoke leather wrapped wheel. This is an exact replacement for a 1970 remote sport mirror. Nearly indistinguishable from a 1968. Obviously a larger ball and longer than found on 1969, 1971-73 remote mirrors. This threaded replacement wand will require you to cut 8/32" fine threads in your original controller.
