This very rare part is unique to the 1970 - 1971 CJ and SCJ C6. There was no 390 option in 1970 - 71. Sales were down on the CJ equipped Cougars in 70-71 making this one very hard part to obtain.  We have determined that this part only fits Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. Mounts under the dash pad on the passenger side. Housing has a casting number of C9WY-15A651. Assembly comes with housing, lens, and wiring harness. Used after January 1970, Mercury changed the housing to plastic, this is that version. *Note - Not the same map light assembly with switch, as found on Eliminator or Standard models with map light option.

Used middle console support bracket. Held in place by 2 rivets midway under the console.

Steering column to steering box coupler, also known as a 'rag' joint. Used on 1967 1968 1969 1970 Cougar tilt columns, differs greatly from the fixed column version in that is has a "D" shaped fitting on the column side. This is a grade 'A' used mirror assembly with no UV damage and has had the mirror lens "re-silvered". Keep in mind a restored lens that is decades old will look good when finished but almost never flawless as the surface of the glass will usually have light scratches and often faint spotting on the backside from previous water damage / staining.
