We suggest using white lithium grease or petroleum jelly to ensure the seal will not stick to the shift lever. Fits 1969-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang, additionally it also fits 1971+ Maverick and Comet with floor shift automatic only.  If you have any side-to-side play in the shifter, this seal will not last. Used servo cover from a 1967-68 Ford C-4 transmission. This cover has the big A cast into it, which designates it as an "A" Intermediate Servo Band Cover. Typically, this cover would be found on C4's, with Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs with C code 289-2V, A code 289-4V, or F code 302-2V engines. Cover only, marked C6AP-7D027-C.

Attaches to the console shifter bezel on any 1967-68 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. We occasionally have these available when we get broken console bezels. This shifter dial was originally attached with heat to a pin connector. To reattach we suggest using glue.
