Manual control shift linkage assembly for a floor shift FMX transmission in any 1971-73 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Comes as shown. *Note - this will not work with a C6 transmission.

Rod used for locking the C-6 transmission in "Park". Connects to the lower tab of the steering column and the C-6 transmission shift arm. Prevents the transmission from shifting out of park when the ignition key is removed. Rod is about 13 inches long and was originally marked with a red paint mark or daub. Casting number stamped on the rod - D1ZA-7E330-BA. The C-6, automatic transmission, could be ordered with any engine from 1971 - 1973. Transmission code "U" on your door data tag.

Designed as a direct-fit OE-style replacement, this modulator valve will fit directly into the factory location of your current Cougar or Mustang valve. Also known as the throttle valve, this valve controls vacuum to the transmission as you press the gas pedal, and it will apply higher control pressure for better quality shifts at higher RPMs.

Reproductions of the rare mounting kit brackets used to hold the shift indicator assembly to the console. The washer measures 1 13/16" x 5x8" and the total length of the screw is 1 3/8" but a much shorter screw would suffice. *NOTE* the raised lip of this washer faces up and only the three beveled holes on the shift indicator bezel use them.

Course threaded nut for most 1969-73 automatic shift arms. This is the nut that sticks down from the bottom of your automatic floor shifter and the nut connects the shift rod that goes to your FMX transmission. 3/8-16 locking flange head nut.

Used flexplate reinforcing ring, Ford called it a fly wheel reinforcing plate. Fits all Ford small block engines including 260, 289, 302, 351W and 351C. Strengthens the area where the automatic transmission flex plate mounts to the crankshaft. This is not just a ring with 6 holes in it, it is indexed specifically for the flex plate and only goes on one specific way. It has to be indexed because of the weight on the flex plate.
