Reproduction locking pawl for the 1970 - 1979 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang that is equipped with a factory tilt steering column. This unit works in conjunction with a pin and is responsible for locking the tilt column in place. In many cases, the pin tends to move out of place and break or chip the teeth of the locking pawl. Very hard to find used wire access retainer for the 67 Cougar or Mustang Tilt column. The fixed column uses a different size retainer and will not interchange. Ford part number C7ZZ-9D753-EThe Ford diagram lists the part number as 9D753

Our turn signal switches are made on the FoMoCo original tooling. Used vacuum hose for the steering column release valve used in the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang equipped with the tilt / tilt away steering column. Regular vacuum hose can be used to replace this hose if you are missing the original. However, it will not be correct. This nice original FoMoCo hose has the correct ribbing, stripes and comes with the firewall grommet. If you are missing this piece and you want your car to be right, this is a must have.
