This one year only part fits inside the 1969 lower column cover and fills the gap between the column tube and plastic cover of non-tilting steering columns. We claim that in time every nut bolt and clip will be documented on this site! Here is yet another tiny little, one year only trivial part that only the most detailed enthusiast will even care about. This little part is designed to space the column cover away from the metal lower dash so as to prevent dash squeaks. They are left natural, never painted (the one shown has surface rust). This nice used original part will have no broken tabs as seen on our grade 'B' version. This grade 'A' part will include two metal clip-on spacers as shown. 1970 is the only year 69-73 that Mustang and Cougar column covers interchange. You will need to paint this part to match your interior.

This used original part will have a broken tab so you will have to use a over-sized washer or some other clever means of properly attaching it to the underside of your dash. This grade be part will not include the metal spacers seen on our grade 'A' part.
