COLUMN DOES NOT INCLUDE IGNITION SWITCH

1970 Mercury Cougar / Ford Mustang columns were a weak design from the factory. We find that all the columns we get have some degree of excessive play, some will not even hold position. The design was improved upon greatly as the years went by and spending a little more on an updated / rebuilt one is well worth the investment. This is a 100% complete column with key and all parts needed to convert from a fixed to a tilt column. You can use your existing plastic plastic color keyed collar and ignition switch. If you provide a key we can rekey the column to match your car.

KEEP IN MIND THAT WE NEED TO KNOW IF YOUR COUGAR WAS MADE BEFORE OR AFTER 1/5/70.

There is an active thread on the Classic Cougar Community Forum discussing tilt columns and trouble shooting.
