The automatic seat back release option was added in early 1970 for Cougar and Mustang. The automatic seat back release would pull the release lever on both of the bucket seats. This only happens when the either the driver or passenger side door is opened. Kit comes with the 1970 specific wiring harnesses from the solenoid, includes 3 pin switch for the passenger pillar post, relay, solenoids, and cross over wiring. This is the correct base for a 1972 Mercury Cougar with a Q code 351-4V Cleveland engine. It came with a painted lid unless your car happened to have been ordered with the "Sporty Exhaust" package and then a chrome lid was included. One year only air cleaner for the Cougar. Ford casting number D2ZF-9600-EA or D2ZF-9600-KA.

Mint condition part that is almost always missing on cars equipped with group 27 battery. Great addition to your 1970 BOSS 302 Eliminator. Also correct for Mustang and Torino. The latest research shows that the casting number C60A-6394-B bellhousing may have been for 1966-68 Cougar, Mustang, Fairlanes and Comets with an 11 inch clutch disc.  Shipped bare, no hardware or clutch fork.

This is a very hard to come by one year part used on both the Mustang and Standard - Decor level interiors on the Cougar. We do not have any at this time . . . Very rare part in great condition. This was pulled from a very original 1970 H code XR7 with power windows, tilt column and AC. Technically not correct for 69 in that the shade of green would be darker in 1969. Why this car did not have the xr7 woodgrain delete plate we are unsure.

Very rare find... A restored bezel will look fine but will never retain the sharp edges and matte black finish like this new in the box original Ford part.
