This is the flat topped rubber bumper that attaches to the top part of your center grille and keeps a small gap between the two panels to prevent paint chips. There were two versions of this bumper, one was this flat topped bumper, and the other had a rounded top. Find the round topped version here.

Used 1968 Mercury Cougar GT-E horizontal grille bar, from the driver side headlight door. Measures 15-3/16 inches long. This is the longest section of extruded aluminum from an original car. There are a total of 7 pieces for a complete grille on a GT-E. It can be cut down to fit any other position that you may be missing. This is a rare find. This one has road tested, meaning that it does have some minor scuffs from use.
