This new for 1970 bracket, is also to be used in conjunction with the all steel "C" shaped pump mounting bracket. Not to be confused with the 351C or Cleveland bracket. D0AZ-3A732-C Stamped steel bracket for mounting the power steering pump. Ford called this bracket the 'power steering pump adjusting bracket'. For any factory air conditioned or non-air conditioned 1971 - 1973 Cougar or Mustang with 351 engines, additionally used on Mustangs with the F code 302 V8 engines.

This cast bracket bolts to the frame on the driver side and anchors the power steering hydraulic cylinder. One of the benefits of buying parts from Western parts cars is that they have not been corroded by salt! This part comes "as taken from a parts car".

This unit was used only one year on the Cougar and is unique because of its smaller fitting (1/4") for the pressure hose. Many 1967 Cougars have been converted to the 1968 valve over the years so you may want to double check your valve before ordering. We highly recommend upgrading to the large nut (5/16") control valve as the small nut control valve posses a potential safety issue, thus the reason why Ford replaced it the following year. Reproduction power steering drop bracket for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. One must use this part when installing headers with power steering.  Because of the way this bracket hangs down, it will get bumped and bumped hard in time. Becasue of this we recommend considerning our premuim version of this bracket, as it is substantially stronger.

Installation of this bracket is easy but you will have to make a spacer to fit on the outside of the frame rail. Hopefully you bought this bracket first before you tore out the nut inserts in the frame. If not you will need to get them up for now. Then tap the bracket toward the the outside of the car and make sure the cross bolt lines up. Then measure the gap and make a spacer to fit. Lower pressure hose for any 1967-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang, but with a V-8. The factory power steering pressure hose originally was a two piece hose. This is the valve end pressure hose.
