Correct size and style white square plastic insert that clips onto front or rear license plate bracket on any 1967-73 Mercury Cougar. Each kit allows one license plate to be mounted. The actual screw has a large head which is made for license plates, but is not the factory Ford style of fastener for Concours judged cars. New black plastic retainer for attaching the front license plate bracket to the bumper beam on all 1973 Mercury Cougar. Two total needed for installing the lower license plate bracket. D3WY-17C760-A Rubber insulator that fits along the front edge of the stone deflector. We call it an anti rattle bumper, there are a total of 6 of these used on the 1973 Cougar stone deflector. Sold individually.

Set of 20 replacement staples for the beltline kit. These are used to attach the beltline pieces to the door panel. Will work for any beltline kit on a number of different makes and models.

Many of our customers have asked and requested how we clean and detail our parts. We use a combination of items, mostly fine steel wool and elbow grease. Cleans haze, crud, and years of oxidation and water spots from glass, aluminum, chrome, and rubber.

Excellent quality reproduction sun visor assembly for the convertible 1971-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. These feature the correct satin finish, fit perfect and look spot on. The original casting numbers as seen on the back side will read D1ZB-7604123-AE for the driver side and D1ZB-7604122-AE for the passenger side. Unlike the 1968 Cougar headlight switch, the 1967 and 1971-73 version does not have the three vacuum ports connected to it. Don't be fooled . . . Most vendors will sell you a Mustang switch and tell you it is the same. Visually it may look the same but internally it has a circuit breaker designed for a two headlight system, the Cougar has four headlights. Ford offered the 1973 Mercury Cougar hood emblem in two versions as a service replacement part. It is very rare to find them new in the box with the chrome center hood moulding, usually they are found without the chrome. This was found at the Spring 2007 Ford Carlisle show. Once its gone I doubt we will see another anytime soon. Keep in mind we are always looking for Texaco gas station memorabilia for trades! At this point we are mostly looking for poor condition signs. FYI: We do not plate, paint, or prep the backside of these bumpers as they were not done that way from the factory. (Above are examples of the mirror-like shine you can expect. 1969 front bumper shown out in the sun.) These are very sought after and a rare find without the impact strip holes, therefore we cannot guarantee we will have a core available for purchase.
