D0ZZ-9A820-G Distributor modulator lower speedometer cable for 1970 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with the M code 351C-4V engine and FMX or automatic transmission. Used on cars manufactured after 12-15-1969. Long cable that connects the speed sensor and the FMX transmission of the modulation system. Shown to be 49.24 inches long. Application is for the FE engines 390, 427 428. This assembly is needed for the installation of the cylinder head air supply tubes. Sold as one nut / one ferrule. 8 total needed for smog tube attaching. Originally these were installed in conjunction with a lower tube.

California emissions 351-2V air cleaner snorkel. DSO 52 and DSO 53 Cougars with H-code 351-2V engines.

This snorkel was found on the XR7-G model with a 390 or 428 engine with the tall pent roof finned aluminum valve covers. The HERTZ model with the 390 engine used a chrome "Powered By Ford" chrome valve cover and did not need the extra length in the extension. This is a refurbished snorkel made from original parts. Very high quality construction.Ford part # C8WY-9A626-B.

This one year only, 1969 S code 390-4V or 390IP (Improved performance). Same jog as the 428CJ snorkel. It is technically a 428CJ snorkel with the addition of an adapter on the heat riser opening reducing it down for use with a 2 inch I.D. paper "S" tube. Ford part number C9OZ-9A626-C.

Application would be for only 1971 Cougars with the 429CJ option, either ram air or non-ram air. This is a 1968 only part that is correct for Cougars equipped with the 390 GT "S" code motor. Whether your Cougar has the GT package or not, as long as it has a 4V 390 motor, this is the correct snorkel for your Cougar. The internal dimensions of the opening at the air cleaner base end measure 4 1/8" X 2 3/16", the flange mounting holes measure 5 1/2" on center. The opening for the S tube is 2 3/4". Please keep in mind that our hard to find parts like this are not always competitively priced...

This vacuum actuated door assembly was used on several performance motors without Ram Air. When extra air was needed under heavy acceleration the vacuum actuator opened the door on the side of the air cleaner base. The actuator on this unit needs to be rebuilt so this is considered a good core only.

Original distributor vacuum advance control valve, also called a ported vacuum switch (PVS) valve, that was installed on all Ford models including Mercury Cougar, Ford Mustang, and Torino starting in 1967.
