This reproduction seal is actually a for a 1971 - 1973 Mustang with Ram Air. This is a suitable replacement for a driver or if you have a good used seal maybe you would like to preserve it by using this in its place. This air cleaner assembly never came from the factory on any Cougar, but was an over the counter option available from your Ford dealer. If you have a very nice hood blanket I would think twice before using it in conjunction with this air cleaner assembly as it will leave an imprint.
