When you turn it over and inspect it, the bottom seam it is not expanding from the inside out due to rust. Reproduction 6.5 litre (390) fender emblem for the Mercury Cougar. These were used on all XR7G models with an S or X code 390, on other Cougars they were used with the Cougars that came equipped with a 390, but without the GT option package. Unlike the originals these do not have mounting studs, but are firmly held in place with 3M VHT double sided emblem tape.

Our used center grill emblems will always have some amount of fade in the plexi area and if the backing has not separated from the rest of the emblem it often times will be lose. Invest the big money elsewhere...Here is a NOS part we do not suggest paying the extra money for. These NOS emblems are not as good as the reproductions that cost less than half. The chrome is far superior, the studs stronger and the way they are assembled is much better on the reproductions.
