    Description

*NOTE* According to Phil Parcels of the National Cougar Data Base Project, the approximate cut off VIN for determining EARLY or LATE 67 is: 7F91C547891

Cars with a VIN number higher than this would use the late sequential unit. Cars with a VIN number lower than this would use the early sequential unit.

This solid state turn signal sequential kit eliminates all the mechanical motor-driven sequencers and relays used in the trunks of the 1967 Cougars built after 1-2-67. One system module replaces all these parts found in the Cougar trunk: Sequential flasher and motor (the noisy one), directional relay (the big one) and the emergency relay (5 pin). It plugs into the original wiring harness and mounts in the original location on the original rubber board without any modifications! These units never fail as they are solid state. We have sold hundreds of them with no problems. Comes with a three year warranty.

**NOTE** Need help diagnosing a Cougar turn signal problem? Victor Yarberry is the world’s most knowledgeable expert on the subject. Vic has owned Cougars since the 1970's and is the designer of all of our solid state sequential systems. There is no question he cannot answer! Here's a link to a great wealth of information on the subject.

This system works great! I still have my original hardware and it was getting to where it needed a lot of regular maintenance to keep working, so i pulled it to store and replace with the solid state system that works perfectly. Easy install!

    Question
    Asked:
Are these units compatible with the LED and "plasma" lamps?
    December 6, 2020 1:07 PM
    Answer
    WCCC Admin Answered:
The 67 and 68 can use the same sequential unit for LED / Plasma / Convention bulbs, although it is recommended that you do not mix them. If you are upgrading to LED/Plasma bulbs it is also recommend that you upgrade to the solid state sequentail unit if you have not already done so.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:
