Product Condition Grades
Below is a general description of what the criteria is for our product condition grades. These are generalizations that are intended to give you an idea of the condition of the product at a quick glance. Because different parts degrade at different rates, there are variances in what the letters represent, please see the products description for details about the condition of any particular product.
A = Excellent / Above Average
B = Average / Some flaws / Good to Excellent Driver Quality
C = Obvious flaws / Poor to Average Driver Quality
D, E, F = Worse, Worser, Worsest
Thoroughly tested and working sequential assembly as found in the trunk of all 1968 Cougars.
We test these on a mock up board that has fresh bulbs, cleaned connections, cleaned grounds, etc, basically ideal testing conditions. Detail cleaning electrical contacts and grounds on your car goes a long way to making your electrical components function properly. We will warranty these used units for 90 days from purchase.
We highly suggest using our modern solid state unit as these were never designed to last 40 years and were often problematic from their inception. Check out our comparison diagram below to see the correct solid state replacement we offer (click image to enlarge):
