If your automatic floor shifter has play in it left to right then this is the culprit. Easy to install, (more difficult if you have a 67-68 with center console) these are made from a wear resistant plastic that is better than original. Sold as a pair as two are required per car. This group of parts mounts to the top of the AT shifter arm and rides against the thumb activated button on your T shift handle. Its function is to lift the cable that runs through the chrome shifter stem to lock and unlock the shifter out of Park. The Ford technical name for this part is 'Roller - Shift Lever Lock'. Allen head set screw for all stock Ford automatic shifter handles on any 1967-73 Mercury Cougar or Ford including Mustang. Uses the same 3/32 inch allen wrench for attaching as the originals. Most handles take two of these set screws, one on the dummy button, and one to attach to the top of the shifter lever. The 1973 all chrome shift handle only uses one of these set screws. 5/16" thick sound deadening and heat reflecting material, comes in a 4' X 6' sheet that can be cut to fit. This gives the thumb release button in your T shaped shift handle its tension. If it is rusted then your button will not return back to its outer position easily. Fits 1967-73 Mercury Cougar and 1965-73 Ford Mustang. Technically this spring fits all Ford and Mercury floor shifters 1965-73. Ford part number C5ZZ-7C300-A. The MPC shows this spring to have a free length of 2-1/16 inches.

This clip is the same as a door panel clip with the exception that it does not have the foam spacer. This clip was used on the 1968 XR7 overhead console, 1967 - 1968 xr7 and standard model upper and lower console pads, seat back access panels and several other applications. This original clip holds tighter than the reproduction. We recommend using this used clip over our reproduction for applications like the seat back because the reproductions often do not cut it. NOS lens for the Standard model Cougar optional clock. Not the same as XR7, this clock is would be located in the gauge panel on the driver side instrument cluster.
