These Linear springs are custom wound for the performance-oriented customer. These feature 600-pound/inch rating and will lower the car approximately one inch from stock. Painted black, sold as a pair. Note: If you look close at factory sales pictures from the day you will notice the cars sit about 1" lower in back than front. These springs will level the car out provided your rear leaf springs are not sagging.
Linear springs are the easiest to understand. When you think of a spring, this is typically what you are thinking of. When the load on the spring increases, the spring compresses an amount directly proportional to that load. So, if the spring is rated at 100lbs per inch, in will compress 2 inches when 200lbs is applied.
In general, the most performance oriented, and springs designed for racing, are going to have a linear rate. The consistency of linear rate springs makes the car stable, optimizes traction, and makes the car more predictable for the driver.
