I first purchased the template thinking a local shop could turn this out for me but it turned out their price was more than WCCC plus shipping, so I bought the finished product instead.
When I got the back seat out, I found both diagonal brackets were loose and had been previously welded, but not very well. So the first job was to clean up that mess and weld the diagonals back in place. Once that was done I was able to install the divider.
The divider came with two pre-drilled holes that allowed me to hold it in place while I drilled addition holes for screws. In my case I used the flattest button top Phillips drive screws I could get. It was my preference to not weld this in place. Overall I used about 21 screws. This included two in each diagonal support. Those four holes i drilled from the trunk side to make sure they were centered in the diagonal brackets, then put the screws in from the passenger compartment.
With all that now done, I’m confident the brackets won’t come loose again (much better welds) and body flex should be greatly reduced. I am very satisfied with the product.
