    Description

This pair of plates cut from 11 gauge steel (1/8") are designed to be welded onto the front crossmember that braces the front frame rails and ties together the lower control arm pivots in a superior way to the original design. When welded onto the front crossmember properly, these plates will prevent any camber change in hard cornering. This is not needed for the average Cougar owner, but if you are desiring to make your car a "Handling Machine", every bit counts. This combined with our shock tower reinforcement plates and one piece export brace, are a very good investment for you 69-70 convertible owners out there. To learn more read the BOSS 302 Chassis Modification book we have listed in our manual section. We also sell a gusseted crossmember for those of you who want a piece that can be simply bolted into place.

Here's our little film to help you fortify your flexxy feline!

Not an exact fit, but very close, there were abut three spots that needed to be filled by welding heavy. The only bad thing I can say is that it does not show what side goes where, you have to test fit before you weld and find the one that works best for you, not hard to do but it took a few tries. Other than that it was perfect product. Planing on using it on my other cars. Would very strongly recommend.

Very good quality, material is strong gauge steel and not to hard to install. I just had a buddy of mine weld them up for me and then painted them when I was done. Looks great and helps to add noticeable handling improvements. I suggest these to anyone who wants to have their cougar handle better.
