    Description

Features quality stamped steel construction, bushings, nuts, anti-squeak coil protector pads. From the get go these were never a very good design... The rubber is prone to cracking and the unit will bind under severe use. Not just speaking of the unit we are offering but all of them including the original Ford units. Here is an interesting article for those that are not happy with status quo. Global West and others have come up with their own solutions and after we have spent more time testing some of these high end products we will start offering them. To compare notes with others who have tried multiple versions of this upgraded part, stop by www.mercurycougar.net. Replaces Ford Part #: C4DZ-3388.

Sold individually, two needed per car.

Took the front end on my 70 XR1 apart to add tall coil spring insulators. Found the tack welds holding the steel cylinder on the bushing to prevent rotation broken and the steel cylinder free to rotate. It will have to be replaced.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
