Normal Stock Item - Next Business Day

These Linear springs are custom wound for the performance oriented customer. These feature 600-pound/inch rating and will lower the car approximately one inch from stock. Painted black, sold as a pair. Note: If you look close at factory sales pictures from the day you will notice the cars sit about 1" lower in back than front. These springs will level the car out provided your rear leaf springs are not sagging.

Linear springs are the easiest to understand. When you think of a spring, this is typically what you are thinking of. When the load on the spring increases, the spring compresses an amount directly proportional to that load. So, if the spring is rated at 100lbs per inch, in will compress 2 inches when 200lbs is applied.

In general, the most performance oriented, and springs designed for racing, are going to have a linear rate. The consistency of linear rate springs makes the car stable, optimizes traction, and makes the car more predictable for the driver.

    Cons:
    • Just the actual labor (haha)
Installed a few weeks after received. Upon completion you could actually see the difference from stock to the 1 inch drop in front. Car looks great with the drop, also to my surprise smooth ride and nice road handing. To add to the job, the complete front (parts) suspensions were replaced at same time.

Love how these look, got a full 1" drop in the front and pair great with the performance leaf springs added prior. Definitely love the stance now with that setup and overall drive with the KYB shocks.

I wanted to stiffen up the front end and these certainly did the trick. Ended up taking about 3/4 of a coil out to get it to sit right with my lil ol' 302 not weighing the front down enough. Combined with the front suspension kit my car handles so much better.

These springs work on all 67-73 Cougar combinations to lower the front by about an inch. Based upon customer feedback, these springs work very well.
