Of the three covers used on the 67-73 Cougars we find this one the most difficult to use. Will Not Work On Badly Distorted Dash Pads. The problem is not with the product but rather the design of the original dash pad. Unlike the 69-73 pads the 67-68 pads are prone to warping (sagging) badly. The easiest way to identify a 69 lower dash from a 70 is that the square cutout for the steering column measures 6 3/8" wide on the 69 and 7" wide on the 1970.
