    Description

Of the three covers used on the 67-73 Cougars we find this one the most difficult to use. Will Not Work On Badly Distorted Dash Pads. The problem is not with the product but rather the design of the original dash pad. Unlike the 69-73 pads the 67-68 pads are prone to warping (sagging) badly. Since this glue on shell is rather rigid you have to have a mostly straight pad to work with. Large cracks are no problem even if your pad is curling at the cracks, just break off the portions of your cracked pad that interfere with the installation. This does not have the simulated stitched edge and the speaker perforations are larger and fewer than original. Comes in black only, made of a paint-able plastic, we recommend SEM plastic and vinyl paint.

    • Not Original Looking
My existing Dash Pad was completely trashed from years in the Texas sun, and I was excited to find a cheaper alternative to a reproduction pad. It actually fit fairly well, especially considering what it was going over. It is not close to looking like an original, but of course WCCC does not say that it does. At some point I will probably replace it with a new pad, but it looks a lot better than what I had before and it saved me a bunch of money for now. Overall, WCCC has a very accurate description of the cover.

    Earon Long Asked:
Can you use this without the ome pad underneath it? For racing anyway

    Answer
Good question, but I think the answer would be no on this one. These are made from a VERY thin, very flimsy plastic and could easily break apart. They're meant to be installed over your existing bad dash pad which gives it it's support.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
