Of the three covers used on the 67-73 Cougars we find this one the most difficult to use. Will Not Work On Badly Distorted Dash Pads. The problem is not with the product but rather the design of the original dash pad. Unlike the 69-73 pads the 67-68 pads are prone to warping (sagging) badly. Since this glue on shell is rather rigid you have to have a mostly straight pad to work with. Large cracks are no problem even if your pad is curling at the cracks, just break off the portions of your cracked pad that interfere with the installation. This does not have the simulated stitched edge and the speaker perforations are larger and fewer than original.
