    Description

This unit was used only one year on the Cougar and is unique because of its smaller fitting (1/4") for the pressure hose. Many 1967 Cougars have been converted to the 1968 valve over the years so you may want to double check your valve before ordering. We highly recommend upgrading to the large nut (5/16") control valve as the small nut control valve posses a potential safety issue, thus the reason why Ford replaced it the following year. The small nut system was engineered dangerously close to the maximum psi tolerances of the crimp that holds the fitting on the tubing. find it here: BIG NUT

This is a premium quality original FORD valve that has been remanufactured to original tolerances. Quality part that is rebuilt by a true craftsman here in the USA.

*NOTE: Our rebuilt and reproduction control valves all come pre-lubed with the correct amount of grease. If out of the box you add more grease, you will damage the valve. Unlike some suspension parts these are not designed to add grease until you see the grease coming out of the seal. Our warranty does not cover over lubricating.

    Question
    Ben Prather Asked:
If I currently have a 1/4" pressure hose valve and wanted to upgrade to the 5/16" valve, would I lose the $200.00 core charge since it would not be a like for like exchange?

    Answer
    WCCC Admin Answered:
We will absolutely take your 1/4" control valve as the core if you purchase the 5/16" control valve and refund your $200 Core charge, as long as the 1/4" valve is rebuildable.
