Reproduction cigar / cigarette lighter for the 71 - 73 Cougar.

Knob for engaging the emergency flasher switch on a fixed (non-tilt) steering column. This original knob is plastic, the reproductions are chrome plated die cast.

Good reproduction of a knob that is always broken off. Made from milled aluminum rather than plastic as the originals were made. This makes it so it is not as susceptible to breaking off. Unique to Cougars with tilt columns in 1968 - 1969. Replaces Ford part number C8MY-17513-C. This part also fits the 68-69 Mustang, Lincoln, Marquis, Thunderbird and other like models with an adjustable steering column.

Used emergency flasher knob for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang equipped with the tilt / tilt away steering column. These knobs are very fragile and the chrome plating will show some minor scratches and pitting. This is one of the easier knobs to find in that it does not break easily and can be found on many 1967 FoMoCo products. Not used on Cougars with a center console and little to no differences can be seen between the different examples. One explanation for having multiple casting numbers for the same part is that Ford would use multiple suppliers for a single part. Rare plastic radio knob used only with the 1967 XR7 and standard Cougar console. Rare radio knob used only on the 1967 XR7 and standard Cougar console. Used wiper knob for any 1967 Mercury Cougar. This version is smaller than the 1968 knob. Unlike the 1968 version, there is no set screw, and is simply pressed into place. You may need to use a bit of adhesive to hold in place. Good condition, will have a small rust pit or two.

1971 - 1973 Cougar wiper control switch knob. In early (May 3, 1971) Mercury changed the knob. This is the later knob. Hex shaped knob, good used, may show some minor wear.

This knob set differs from the set used later in 1967 only in that the outer knob has a lower profile head. Keep in mind we have reproduction knobs that will work in place of these.

This set of reproduction used knobs is for 1968 Cougar / Mustangs without factory console. The exception to the rule would be the XR7G. Cougars equipped with a console need the longer version of this knob to clear the padded console face. If you happen to have a 1969 or newer radio then the radio has longer shafts and these knobs may in fact work with a console.
