Of the many carpets available out there these are the best.  That being said they are still nowhere near the quality Ford produced in the day... They are the correct 25 ounce 80/20 Rayon/Nylon blend, molded to the contour of your floor pans and have the correct thickness of insulation bonded to the backside. They come with the correct heel and toe pad sewn into the drives side and have the correct hem in the appropriate places.

For those with Tan/Saddle Interior, your vehicle would have come with the Dark Brown Carpet. If you have a vehicle with Light or Dark Aqua, your vehicle would have originally come with a Dark Aqua carpeting, which unfortunately is no longer available, however they came with a dark blue dash pad making the dark blue carpet a nice match.

For a more plush carpet and added sound deadening, don't forget to check our the Mass Backed Carpet Kits. Our mass backed carpet sets weigh 35 pounds, this standard kit weighs 5.5 pounds.

We have not been able to find an exact match for Aqua, here are the original color swatches from Ford:

Here are the closest options we have found:

33-1965 Medium Aqua 25-021 Dark Aqua 29-880 Midnight Blue
    33-1965
    Medium Aqua /
    Teal

    (closest, but too light)

    25-021
    Dark Aqua /
    Dark Green-Blue
    (too green)

    29-880
    Midnight Blue
    (Almost Black)

    Question
    Asked:
will this carpet basically flop over the existing carpet in my 1968 base model? Probably some trimming, but essentially the thing pretty much is molded to fit both passenger side over the tranny hump and under the 3 pedals? I just bought the seat covers last week. Thanks

    WCCC Admin Answered:

These are molded to the contour of the floor, but they require removing the seats, console if equipped, the shifter bezel and the old carpet. We also recommend looking at the Mass Backed version of this carpet, as it offers superior sound and heat deadening over this kit: Item # 42425

    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
