These are original Ford Aluminum Spacers, all the sizes listed here do not necessarily come from 1967 - 1973 Mercury Cougars. We list a couple of "non-Cougar" sizes knowing owners are doing some custom applications. There have been many sizes and applications over the years. A fan spacer was used for all fixed and flex blade fans. Fixed and flex fans all will have a 5/8 inch pilot hole. We will try and list applications as we can confirm them. We believe that some of these spacers were matched to specific fans. We have also noticed that 3 sheave water pump pulleys are a bit thicker than single or double sheave water pump pulleys. Another thing to consider is your radiator. 3 core radiators will be thicker than 2 core radiators. The best rule of thumb is to situate your fan half way into your fan shroud. The primary spacer thickness is measured from the shoulder of the spacer, the early listings in the Ford Master Parts Catalog take a measurement that included the pilot hole nipple. We try to cross reference them both ways based on sources that you may use.
