    Description

Convenient matched sets save costly locksmith work. Kits includes a pair of door lock cylinders. Comes with two keys. Includes door cylinder gaskets. If you don't mind have having a different key for the door locks, this product might just work out.

Attention potential buyer! This item will likely give you problems and be a general disappointment. Reviews show that the fitment is fair, and you will not be able to have these lock cylinders re-pinned, to use your original Ford key.

    • Poor assembly
    • Poor fit
I had a original door lock that was broken so I purchased this kit. Right out of the package the provided keys could not be inserted into one of the locks as the Dust cover was stuck . I took the locks to a lock smith to have that issue fixed and too have them re pinned to my original ignition key so I didn't have an additional key. The pin spacing on these locks is different than the originals so the key had to be custom profiled to work in them as well as my ignition. The dust cover was assembled too low so the door would not swing but the lock smith fixed that as well. All done, everything took about an hour.
When I went to install them the gasket is so thick that the retainer can't be slid into place. I ended up using some different gaskets that were thinner so the retainer would slide in.
The cover bezel shape is similar but different than the original . The diameter is smaller and the profile is more rounded.
In the end I would have been better off purchasing a original Ford lock.

Very easy to fit, make sure you have the right side though as they are 'handed', nice to be able to lock her up again.
