Pair of used wire anchors for keeping the rear most headliner bow stationary. These are fragile wires, and prone to rusting. We try to keep them in inventory. 1969-70 anchor wires are 3-1/16 inches long. A DIY person can improvise these pretty easy, using lengths of regular wire.

Contrary to what you might think at first glance, the support rods used in 1969 - 1970 Cougar headliners are not the same front to back. Each of the rods is bowed to a different curve. To replace a headliner and make it look right, you must keep the rods in the same order as they came out of the original headliner. 5 Rods total. Use interior quarter window moulding for the passenger side (right hand) of the Mercury Cougar coupes. This trim installs vertically behind the quarter window. Driver side metal trim part that that runs along the interior roof edge and connects the "A" pillar plastic moulding to the rear window (quarter window) moulding on the inside. These fasteners were used to keep your package tray in place. In 1969 - 1970 the two clips were held in place with screws. Sold individually. We have seen various tech type screw with both large and small heads on them for fastening these clips. Same clip as was used in 1967-68, but without the push clip. We try to supply the screw, but you would likely want to get fresh ones, they are nothing special.Replaces Ford part number C4AB-6246698-A.

If losing weight in your 1969 - 1970 Coupe is what you are after then this would be a good part for you as it weighs less than one pound and the original weighs approximately five pounds. The original is made of the same material as the sound deadener found under the carpet and we rarely get good examples in stock.
