    Description

In the past, you would have had to purchase a used roof cut from a parts car which meant that you would most likely have do a bit of work to get it straight and clean enough for paint. But now our friends over at Dynacorn have finally come through with a quality reproduction roof panel skin for the 1967-68 Mercury Cougar. If you need a partial roof we can cut this part down to your specifications with a plasma cutter. The price will remain the same but if you need only a half of a roof you will save a lot of money on shipping as we can ship a half roof via UPS Ground. Keep in mind that this would be a good time to order other large bulky items, such as bumpers and body panels, since the shipping will be combined into one crate and not cost much extra.

If your rear window channel is also rusted, we have a patch panel for that as well. Check it out here.

This item usually ships direct from the manufacturer in California or Pennsylvania for most orders but often we have them available for pick up at our shop. This item must ship via truck freight unless it is cut in half. Shipping to a business address costs substantially less than to a residential address. Expect to pay $250 or more when this item is dropped shipped from the supplier. Our online shipping calculator is not very accurate for truck freight items so we encourage you not to pay for the order up front but rather bypass paying for your order by selecting "contact us for payment" in the check out process and we will contact you with an exact shipping total. This item cannot ship through any standard carrier (UPS, FED EX, etc) unless it is cut in half or smaller.

    Carton size is 57" W. 63" H. 8" D. approx 50 lbs.

    Pros:
    • Very good right out of the box
    Cons:
    • none.
Very good quality piece. I bought one of the early production ones and I had no complaints. The skin fit perfectly...no reforming to make it fit or look right. The tie into windows and drip rails was easy. I do know the whole history of my car and know it's never been wrecked so that probably helped too. Was trying to replace mine with a used one before these came along...BIG time saver!

    Pros:
    • Fit
    Cons:
    • No studs
After taking old skin off (drip rails were horrible) it fit in like a glove. Panel bond, weld the corners and spot welding did the trick. Don't forget the trim molding studs as they come off with the old roof and the new roof doesn't come with.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
