Please Note:
Many used items in our picture(s) have been cleaned and/or bead blasted prior to being photographed to show condition and detail. The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned. We do not retake pictures each time a used item sells. Pictures are a good indicator of what you will receive, but not all used parts age the same. On high dollar parts, email us and we can send a few pictures of the actual part available.
"Core" Items: If we use the word "Core" in the title of the product, the item has been deemed rebuildable, but has not been rebuilt. The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned.
This product has received the 'Crappy Product' certificate.
Items that receive the 'Crappy Product' certificate are products that we carry for comparison purposes as they are often the version offered by other vendors or because it is the only version available. We would not be willing to use these parts on our own cars, and we do not recommend purchasing these parts.
WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT RETURNS FOR THESE PARTS.

A = Excellent / Above Average
B = Average / Some flaws / Good to Excellent Driver Quality
C = Obvious flaws / Poor to Average Driver Quality
D, E, F = Worse, Worser, Worsest
Contrary to what you might think at first glance, the support rods used in 1971-73 Mercury Cougar headliners are not the same from front to back. Each of the rods is bowed to a different curve. To replace a headliner and make it look right, you must install the rods in the same order as they came out from the original locations. To help you do this, Lincoln-Mercury coded each rod with a color applied to each end.
- 1st. Driver Side: Pink - Passenger Side: Pink
- 2nd. Driver Side: Pink - Passenger Side: Plain
- 3rd. Driver Side: Pink - Passenger Side: Grey
- 4th. Driver Side: Pink - Passenger Side: Yellow
Once installed in the car, each rod should be about the same distance from the roof as the other rods. WCCC marks the bows with a sharpie pen, 1 hash mark, 2 hash marks, etc. starting from the front of the car. This listing is for a good used set of four headliner bows taken from a parts car. They will not be heavily rusted or bent. The anchor wires measure 4-9/16" for 1971-73. Anchor wires sold separately and are in limited quantity.
*NOTE* The four bows and two anchor clips shown are from a 1968 Cougar. You do not have to purchase anchor clips, you can just take note of the lengths we have listed here and use a zip tie or wire tie to anchor the rear bow to the support just above the rear window.
