This adhesive plaque was placed in front of the shifter on XR7-G models with a factory installed four speed manual transmission. The XR7-G shift knob had a walking Cat on the face of the knob instead of a shift pattern.

These fuel door Mercury crest emblems are a close to original reproduction. They are an economical alternative to brighten up the looks of the rear of your 1969 - 1970 Cougar. This crest was used on all models except the 1970 Eliminator. To remove your emblem we suggest grinding down the studs on the backside. To install the reproduction emblem you will need the 26120 trim clip.

Faded but good used emblem with aluminum foil background. If you push on the swedged aluminum studs from the backside these will easily remove. The standard grill emblem with a walking cat uses the same stud configuration as XR7 so you can exchange emblems from one to another.

This is a very nice reproduction that we have all needed for many years! You might want to buy a new Cougar walking cat emblem if you replace this background decal as it requires breaking the studs off your old emblem to get it off. Good used center with no crack, missing paint or broken mounting tabs. This was used on all 1969 Cougars with a three spoke wheel except the XR7.

Very rarely do we find one like this example that shows no sign of fading. This is for the person who is trying to achieve a very high level of preservation / restoration.

This little emblem was used only on the two spoke steering wheels from 1969 - 1973. We can pretty much guarantee one if not both of the two mounting studs will be broken but because of the way it fits into the recess of the steering wheel pad, gluing it into place is not a problem. We rarely have an emblem this nice in stock for more than a few weeks of any one year as the tail was prone to breaking off as well as the "cats" other limbs. This is one of the smallest "Cougar" emblems ever put on a Mercury Cougar. Only the 70-73 two spoke cat and xr7-G shift handle Cougar was smaller. It is also the most delicate! Very unusual to find the tail and all limbs intact on this fragile little kitty. Silver spray paint will make this cat look new again, they did not have a chrome finish from the factory. Now that we have reproduced this emblem there is little incentive to purchase this over-priced used emblem.

Adhesive backed, located on the right side of your deck lid.  We often get asked about where to place 69-70 XR7 and Cougar adhesive emblems. Based on personal experience and pictures from the original Ford archives the answer would be "Pretty much wherever you think looks best". Used end cap with the burl woodgrain for the deluxe door pull straps found in the Mercury Cougar XR7 or Ford Mustang. These units will show a degree of pitting, fine scratches and fading. Also, these door pull strap caps are unique to 1968 and they are not currently being reproduced. 1967 has no border and the woodgrain has a different color and look to it. D0WY-5A486-A. The bolt measures 9 1/2" long, the tubular spacers are 5 1/8" long. These kits are sold individually, it takes two kits per car. Yes... That mold on the bushings.

Assembly line used engine lift hook. Passenger side 1969-70 with 428 Cobra Jet engines, including 428SCJ. Triangle shaped, with one single hole for the hook. Not stamped with number. Fits all 1968-70 Ford cars with either R code or Q code 428 engines. Grade A door cup (escutcheon) used on both the Xr7 and Decor / Deluxe interiors with moulded door panels. Casting numbers as seen on the back can read D1WB-6522635-A or D3WB-6522635-A. The last 3 digits will read something like -AWA, AWD or similar which denotes the different colors. These resemble Mustang but are in fact unique to the Cougar. This assembly is spot welded to the fender skin. Sometimes this area will be damaged in a collision but the skin will still be fine. Due to the rarity of good fenders and the costly shipping you may want to consider repairing your fender as opposed to buying another if this is all you need.

This unit consists of a metal shield with rubber stapled to the edges mimicking the fender contours. In most cases, these used shields will need to have the stapled rubber shields replaced. A Mustang shield will not fit a Cougar because the fender has a much different contour.Ford part # C7WY-16A574-A.

Set of nuts and Ferrules for thermactor smog tubes on any 1967 S code 390, 1968 390GT, 1968 GT-E 427-4V, or 1968-70 428 Cobra Jet engines. These plastic fillers were mounted to the end of the 1970 hood extension and filled the gap between center grille surround (extension) and the side grilles. These correct floor pan patches are for the 1969-70 convertible and do not have drain plugs like the 1967-68 panels. These are made from a really rigid steel and do not easily bend or dent easily like many of the offshore pans you find on the market. These 20 gauge panels are 24" long and 15 1/4" wide. Great for the person doing a "correct" restoration on their 1969-70 Cougar / Mustang / Shelby.

Reproduction inner floor frame rail patch for the Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang coupe and convertible. As this item is for a Mustang, you will find that you will have to modify it to work with your Cougar. This unit measures 28" long where the Cougar piece is 19". This unit is a 1/4" wider than the Cougar piece as well.

These are our average used, or Grade B, front license plate mounting bracket that attaches to the passenger side of the bumper of all 1971-72 Mercury Cougars. It may or may not have the rubber anti rattle bumpers present, but will have either original or reproduction plastic inserts for screwing on the license plate. This B grade bracket will function properly, but will have some slight damage or signs of straightening.Replaces Ford part number D1WY-17A385-A.
