Nice reproduction rear body side reflector as found on 1968 Mercury Cougars. Used on Montego / Cyclone / Cougar for the 1968 model year. Reproduction side marker light socket with harness set. For all 1968 Mercury Cougar and Mercury Montego and Cyclone. This listing is for a pair of wiring harnesses with light sockets. The original sockets were a snug fit in the fender light housings. The D1WY-15A434-LSM LED Side Marker Light Adapter kit is required when the C9WY-13A366-AL or the TS-400 Sequential controller is installed with LED front turn signal and rear LED side marker bulbs on 1971 Cougars and other Ford vehicles with two rear side marker lights. An adapter is required for each rear side marker light (2 total). This adapter solves the problem where the side marker voltage feeds back through the front turn signal bulb when the running lights or headlights are turned on....

This grade "B" light bezel will have minor blemishes in the chrome as shown. Good part for a driver as it will not have deep pits. Does not include pigtail or lens. Left is the same as right. To remove pigtail from your existing light wrap socket in cloth to protect and grip firmly with a pair of pliers, rock back and forth while pulling and the plug and socket assembly should come right out from the back side. Replaces Ford part # C8WY-15A201-C.

Ford never offered this socket / plug assembly on its own but we do from time to time get one that has a clean socket and no cuts in the wiring. You can often just twist and pull (after the bulb has been removed) and it will come right out of the chrome housing. The Ford engineering number imprinted on the wire is C8WB-15A442-A.

Applications all 1969 351 engines, both 351-2V and 351-4V, and 1970 351W-2V engines after 2/2/1970. Air cleaner intake assembly or snorkel specific to the one year only 390-2V premium fuel engine, (X code engine). This version has the vacuum operated trap door. There was an more common thermal version that used temperature to open the trap door to the heat stove. In most cases the vacuum valve will not be working. For use with factory and reproduction console parts on a 1968 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Plugs into your existing console wiring harness. Double male plug is 1968 only. Sold without light bulb. The supplier says this replaces Ford part number C7ZZ-15A808-B but that is incorrect as the Ford part number for 68 is C8ZZ-15A808-B. To use this on a 67 the plug would have to be changed to a male / female combo plug.
