This shim, also referenced to as washers, goes in the clutch portion of the drive gearbox to properly adjust the friction. Three shims (plus a hand crank) were originally supplied with sunroof cars.

Rubber coupler for connecting the drive motor and the geardrive for operating the ASC factory sunroofs. American Sunroof Corporation started using this shorter connector sometime in late 1968 on the very early 1969 cars. ASC power sunroofs (technically moonroofs since they had solid covers instead of glass) were offered on many new cars such as Mercury Cougar, Lincoln Mark series, Ford Thunderbird, and many Mopars or Dodge, Chrysler, and Plymouth cars.

This fusible link is a section of wire connecting the starter solenoid on one end and wiring harness that passes through the firewall to mate with the top switch wiring. Correct for power sunroof equipped Cougars. May also work for XR7 and Standard convertibles.

Good used motor taken from 1967 through 1970 Cougars. Motor has been taken apart, cleaned, serviced and tested. These were used on the early Porsche, Mercedes, Maserati and Ferrari power windows and sunroof as well. Bosch part number 0 132 001 004. We only sell these on an exchange basis and you must send your core in advance. These are good reproductions of the originals for your American Sunroof Corporation Golde Sun Roof. The roof opening seal is 89 1/4" x 3/4" and the seal that affixes to the rear edge of the roof panel measures 42 1/2" x 3/4". These have the correct aluminum inner core with rubber bead, wrapped in the correct felt textured, black material. They're are made by the original manufacturer in Germany and will fit all Cougars equipped with the ASC sunroof. Very hard to find seals at a reasonable...

Reproduction one year only switch for the 1968 Mercury Cougar with power sunroof (or 1968 Ford Mustang convertible). The XR7 G used a different switch built into the console but the other Cougars ordered with a sunroof in 1968 had this switch mounted to the right of the steering column under the dash.   Knob and bracket included as shown.

This specially machined screw tensions the friction clutch assembly in the gearbox.

This is the gear on the upper side of the gearbox. The cables go over each side of the gear.NOTE: Be sure the gear is in good condition so your cables don't get worn out!
