C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1969-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. C9ZB-7653139-A is the part number for the drivers side, C9ZB-7653138-A for the passenger side. These will often break when one hydraulic lift cylinder malfunctions and the other is still working. This scenario will put the top frame in a bind causing one of these cast parts to break. We carefully inspect these before shipment for cracks, worn areas or corrosion.

No excuses 100% complete mechanism with no cracks, missing parts or heavy corrosion. We can include the top cylinders but will not guarantee they will not leak. We carefully break this down by removing the header and crossbows and placing the original bolts back in the holes. Once you get this from UPS it will be very evident how it goes back together.

This original part has been reinforced to brace the front frame rails / tie together lower control arm pivots in a superior way to the original design. This design will prevent any camber change in hard cornering.
