This is the engine gauge loom that runs from the coil, temp. sender and oil sender to the pigtail on the firewall. Designed for the 1971 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. Will fit the 1972 Cougar and Mustang, but technically those cars had a bundled harness that included A/C, and possibly carburetor solenoid wiring. Small retaining ring that secures the engine gauge feed wiring harness to the driver side valve cover. Two were used per engine. We found this part in the 1971-72 Mustang Electrical Assembly Manual. To be used with original wiring harnesses, the reproduction engine gauge feed harness does not have the clips to attach to this retainer.Ford part number D2AB-14A163-MA.
