These are sold individually, two required per car. This is the aluminum emblem / decal which mounts on the center of all of the 68-73 scuff plates. Features raised script like original. These fender emblems look much like the 1968 quarter panel emblems but differ in that they have longer studs that fasten via barrel clips as opposed to a speed nut used on the 1968 quater panel emblems. Found on the lower right corner of all 1971 - 1973 Cougars equipped with the XR7 Interior package. Both mounting studs will be in place and it will have a nice overall finish. Ford engineering number as seen on the backside is D1WB-65061A58-AA.

Our used center grill emblems will always have some amount of fade in the plexi area and if the backing has not separated from the rest of the emblem it often times will be lose. No... Mercury never made an emblem "just" like this one but demand dictated we produce it! This emblem has a 3M adhesive backing and looks and measures just like a 1968 quarter panel script or the front fender script found on a 1971 - 1973. Excellent reproduction of the little 1 1/8" wide plastic emblem found on every 1970 - 1974 three spoke steering wheel pad. This emblem can also work on the 1969 - 1973 two spoke steering wheel pad but it is not an exact fit as the two spoke wheel emblem is only 1 1/32" wide. This small sized Cougar emblem (1 3/8" long) was used on 1969 - 1973 Cougars without AC. It was affixed to a block off plate in the very venter of the dash by two peened over die cast studs. It will glue back in place nicely and many Cougar fans have found fun "custom" applications for this attractive piece. This emblem will not be pitted or scratched in any way.

This is an accurate reproduction of the tie down notice decal that was placed on the rear license plate frame. This was to remind dealers to remove the tie down plates that were used to secure the cars to the transport trains / trucks on their way from the factory to the dealers. Rare Cougar only GT emblems. The Mustang GT emblems had different stud locations. These were used on 1968 Mercury Cougar GT models.  This emblem shares the exact same pin locations with the 1968 6.5Litre emblem, so the factory could punch holes and installed the tubular nuts in the fenders of all S and X code Cougars, allowing either emblem to be installed.
